Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive regarding Gutter Stuff®. If your question is not listed below, please call 570-586-3986 or e-mail sales@gutterfoam.com to send us your question.

How do you install Gutter Stuff®?

GutterStuff is installed under the hanging brackets or gutter spikes. The foam filter slides right under the brackets or spikes. The brackets and spikes hold the foam filter in place.

GutterStuff can be installed into new gutters prior to hanging them. Most other gutter guards systems require that you hang the new gutter first and then reposition your ladders to install the gutter guard. GutterStuff saves installation time.

How does Gutter Stuff® affect the appearance of my home?

GutterStuff sits entirely inside the gutter and is invisible from ground level. Installation of GutterStuff requires no damaging nails or screws that may void a roof warranty.

  How durable is Gutter Stuff®?

The foam filter cannot be damaged by falling items. The foam filter does not dent, crack, bend or break like metal and plastic gutter guards can.

During a heavy rainfall does the water run over the Gutter Stuff® foam filter?

GutterStuff has been thoroughly tested and can handle the most severe rainfalls in a properly installed gutter. The foam filter is nonabsorbent and the water runs right through it.

Do birds, animals or insects harm Gutter Stuff®?

No, GutterStuff and has been tested for over three years all over the country and the animals and insects have not harmed the foam filter.

Does Gutter Stuff® require any cleaning?

No, the pores in the foam are just the right size to let the smallest particles pass through and be washed away. Larger particles and leaves stay on top of the foam and eventually blow away.

Does snow and ice affect Gutter Stuff®?

No, if it's warm enough for the snow and ice to melt the water will flow right through the porous foam and out the downspout in a properly installed gutter. The heat absorbent color of GutterStuff helps to melt the snow and ice.

Who is the exclusive distributor for Gutter Stuff® for Pennsylvania?

GutterFoam.com. We also distribute to Massachusetts and Vermont!
